A FamousBloggers ComLuv Contest Sponsor That I’m Already Familiar With
TweetI was happy to see that a familiar face is a sponsor of the FamousBloggers ComLuv Contest. Since this guy is a long-time industry acquaintance of mine, I thought it would be a good idea to let you know a little more about him, and maybe help you become a future long-time acquaintance with him as well. So it’s all about…
Gettin’ Happy With The Happy Guy Marketing Service
I’ve been online friends with David Leonhardt (the seo consultant and all around Happy Guy himself) for a few years now, and I’m always pleased to see the smiling face (both David’s real face and the virtual smiley) on my ‘net travels. Both happy faces pop up in many of my virtual streams, from stumbleupon to twitter, and on many of the blogs we both frequently visit. (David is also known as amabaie on social networks).

Social, Content and SEO
So what does David have to offer? First of all, he is an active participant in social networks and happily shares links from his friends. If that’s not enough of a reason to get to know him, then perhaps you’d like to add to your repetoire of SEO education. The happy guy’s seo blog is one you should add to your feed reader for just that purpose. And if SEO isn’t your thing, then you should be aware that David’s company also offers freelance writing and translating services. Both of those services can be extremely useful as a marketing tool.
Pick any one of those reasons, or choose them all, but do take a little time to get to know David. I think you’ll find yourself smiling back at the Happy Guy smiley face whenever you run across it on your Internet travels just like I do all the time.

Donna, I’m somewhat embarrassed to admit that I didn’t realize that David was one of the contest sponsors. David and I became Twitter buds just a few months ago and I’ve spent some time on his site. What stands out for me is the way the site is organized, it’s very welcoming and just what you would expect from a virtual smiley! Thanks for reminding me to go there soon.
Btw – from what I can tell you’re looking really good so far in the FBCLcontest!
:thumbs up:

I don’t think there’s any need to be embarrassed, Ileane. I mean, really, how often does anyone read the fine print – or in this case – read the sponsors? Very few people do, and I think that’s just a human reaction to filter out the things that aren’t “need to know”. Of course, that then means that the sponsors, who’ve generously given something, end up on the short end of the deal. Luckily, in this case, the contest encourages its contestants to showcase the sponsors, so hopefully they get a little more love than the average bear. (I have a feeling my reference there will make many say “huh?” and will show my age. It refers to a saying from the old cartoon, Yogi Bear, for those who don’t remember it, or never saw it).
I do have some hope that I may end up ok in the contest, but ya know what’s really cool? The contest has actually been a really good learning experience – for me and others. It’s gone way beyond a mere contest, I believe. I think it’s really taught many of us some very valuable lessons. I can at least say that I learned some awesome things during this time. I bet many others have as well. That’s a win, no matter what happens.
Oh dear. I had no idea there was a contest. I just looked through BloggerLuv 3X again and didn’t see anything.
Still learning how to navigate websites.
I guess time to leave the office, go home, take out my eyes, do some some work and then check BloggerLuv again.

I’m not sure there’s much info on it at Bloggerluv. It’s mostly talked about at famousbloggers.net and comluv.com. So, it’s possible that you didn’t miss it at all – it just wasn’t there to find.
