Blog Commenting, Contests, and Reach, Oh My!

I’ve been noticing all the hubbub lately for the FamousBloggers ComLuv contest, but I’ve been so busy that I hadn’t had a chance to really check it out until a week or so ago. Once I did, I realized that this was a great opportunity for me to share my thoughts on blog commenting in a contest that’s all about blog commenting! What’s great about blogging in this situation is that my thoughts will go out beyond my normal inner circle of readers, and expanding reach is the goal of every blogger. So I decided to enter this contest for several reasons: 1) The prizes rock! 
, 2) It’s time I start really participating in both the FamousBloggers network and the ComLuv network, and 3) I really wanted to share my thoughts on blog commenting.

This contest has taught me a lot as well, Stephanie. There’s much to be learned not only from one’s own network, by also by the networks of others that you begin to reach when you step outside of your own network. Don’t get me wrong, my peeps are awesome! But it’s great to show up at other “parties” now and then, and meet other groups of people. Getting social with other networks beyond one’s own can bring new insights. I’ve gotten quite a few of insights from this contest – both from my network and from other networks.
