Think Your Idea Is Worth 10000 Dollars? It Could Be!
Several months ago, over on my SEO Scoop blog, I wrote about a cool site, Ideablob, that gives away $10,000 every month to someone who has an idea that others like. Ideablob is like a social network for people with ideas. And like any good social network, people vote on those ideas. Sounds familiar, right? Think Digg for ideas. But the kicker is that the person with most popular idea each month wins $10,000 to help implement that idea! Woot!
The monthly giveaway was only supposed to last a few months if I remember correctly, but it looks as though they’ve extended it through at least the end of September. (Who knows, maybe it will get extended again?). In any case, if you’ve been cooking up a hare-brained idea in your head, now might be a good time to take you and all your social network buddies over to Ideablob and get in on the action! Actually, even if you don’t have an idea to submit, it’s kind of a cool place to hang out now and then just to ignite some creative sparks in that clever brain of yours.

I know that the site is defunct, but lets take a look at this concept for a second.
If this site had gotten a SIGNIFICANT amount of traffic, this site is BRILLIANT. Yes 10k is a good bit of money, but it would be a great way to get people to freely submit ideas that they thought would make a good business concept. Even better, people said what they liked best.
This would give a great background for the site owner to take and implement. Interesting.
