Free eBook Covers – Volume 2

On 2/9/09, I began my quest to provide you with sample ebook covers that are both FREE and LOOK GOOD. That was Volume 1 with a set of 9 to choose from. This is Volume 2, with another set of 9.

Over time, I’ll create more sets. Each set will include samples – meaning, you should add your own text to them – and maybe even some additional graphics (photos of a person, money, etc). But the starting sample image will be nice looking – and a lot better than any free sample I’ve ever been able to find. Because they are free, they only come in one size and one format – PNG. In other words, what you see below is what you get.

If you find these useful, please link to this post so that others can take advantage of them as well. If you want some really professional looking covers made, then you should definitely either hire a professional to create custom ebook covers for you or purchase a software tool to design your own.* Oh and if you’re already a graphics pro and own Photoshop CS3, you can download a free Photoshop action script to turn your 2D design into a 3D cover here. But if you just want decent looking samples to edit and customize without costing you a dime, one of these might be just what you need. Right-click one you like below, choose Save As and enjoy.

When you say “add the image”, not sure what you mean. Add it where? To your website?

    Hello Donna,

Thanks for your reply. Adding an image to your ebook covers are no longer an issue to me.

My issue now is to make it like a whole page in Word document, so that I can convert it to a pdf.

Do you know how to make an eBook cover to fill up a whole space or whole page in Word? I am using Word 2007.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Regards,

    Maria

I haven’t used Word in a while, but I’d recommend trying to adjust the page margins. Set them all to 0 and see if that works.
