I’ve heard some people reject the idea of having their own blog or site because they don’t believe they are capable of writing well, or they say they can’t type. I always counter that objection by saying, “Phooey!” If you are capable of speaking, you are capable of creating content. You can simply dictate into a microphone, and you don’t even need a human secretary to transcribe it. Speech recognition software has come a long way, and frankly, it’s to the point where it’s good enough to be usable.

thanks for the tip on vista’s speech rec app. i didn’t know about it and think i will have to give it a try. i wonder if a speech rec personality typically comes off different than a written one? do you think there would be more slang or off the cuff remarks? do create any of your content this way?
I don’t create my content this way, yet, because I’m not yet comfortable enough with doing it via voice. But I’m working on it, because I think it might be useful once I really get the hang of it. Of course, I do type really fast, so it may not be as useful to me as it might be to a slow typist. I’m not sure yet about the rest of your questions regarding slang, etc. I’m still too new at it to be sure, but you raise good questions.
