This series detailing how you can make money online is complete. Now when friends and family ask me “What do you do”? and “How do you make money”?, I’ll probably still give them the short answer … “I have web sites that make money via advertising.” However, if they proceed to ask the third all-important question, “How can I do that too”?, I’ll smile and tell them that I will email a link to this series that will answer their question in detail.
I hope that if you are considering trading in your work clothes for pajamas, that my little tutorial has helped you get started on that journey. One thing to note. Everything I’ve shared is common. This method of making a living online is one that thousands of other people do. I’m not special. I don’t have any particular talent that is unique to me that enables me to make a living in my pajamas. And that’s a good thing because that means you don’t have to be me to do the same thing. You can do this just by being you.
Do all of my money-making sites follow this exact format? No, in fact most of them aren’t blogs, but that’s because most of them were created long before blogging came into existence. If I had to create those sites all over again now, however, this is how I’d do it. All NEW sites I create do use this basic formula, and I believe it is the best way for most people to get started.
There is more to learn, no doubt, and I’ve listed many other places below that will help you continue that education. But there is nothing stopping you from getting started right now. You have the basic knowledge you need to make this work. The rest is up to you. Apply your talents, skills, and knowledge in a way that gives readers something of value and in time you should see a return on that effort in the form of increasing traffic and revenue.
Below is a recap of all of the references and resources that I’ve mentioned throughout the series. I wish you much luck, much money, and lots of pajamas!

All righty then!
I’ve got my jammies on – As a matter of fact, I’ve had them on for quite some time now (since my company folded a few weeks back), and I just can’t seem to find other clothes any more.
What to do? What to do? I might as well make some jammie-clad money, don’tcha think?
After reading about your WordPress-pertise over at Cre8, I read through this entire series tonight. GOOD NEWS – I’m at level nine already. This is a good thing.
I can’t take full credit, however. My ever-bestest and dearest friend, Ron Carnell, has been coaching me. Off to start making some money now..:-)
Thanks Donna
Nan
I’m sure you’ve got a great coach in Ron. Good luck, Nan! We’ll all be cheering you on.
Donna,
What advice would you have for someone getting started and is looking to leave the corporate world?
Also, I am just wondering, have you been able to make a full time living working online? I know for many people, the online world is a hobby at best. What has been your experience?
Sure, I’ve been making my living – full time – online for several years. Of course, everyone’s definition of “a living” is different. One person might consider making $250,000 per year the minimum needed to “make a living”. That definition is going to require a different approach than the person who thinks $50,000 per year is “making a living”. And of course, there’s nothing wrong with making extra money, on top of one’s “in real life” j-o-b, by using an online income as a supplement.
Leaving the corporate world, to make it online, really depends on many things. Do you have a plan? Do you have some money set aside to live on while you build the online business? And of course, depending upon what the plan is, other questions will likely need to be answered. But in general, of course it’s possible. Many of us have done it.
But the one piece of advice I always give – why not start out while you still have a job? You’ll be able to better judge the feasibility once you get your feet wet. If it goes well, you can expand it, eventually going full time. If it doesn’t, you still have your job, and you’ve probably made a little side money during the experiment.
The second piece of advice I always give – don’t wait. The sooner you start…the sooner it happens. Simple as that.
