Yesterday, I encouraged you to establish your Internet presence ASAP, even if you weren’t sure you were ready. However, I realized later that I should have also encouraged you to pick the right domain name first. Having a bad domain name could be difficult to overcome later.

I could go into a long diatribe about how to pick the right domain name, but others have done it before me, so instead I’m going to send you off to one that I particularly like. 14thc has a good article, called How to choose a breakthrough domain for your website, that spells it all out in simple terms.
