Before I read the post, I knew you’ve read Ammon’s post at Cre8asite: so bright is his knowledge that it stands out everywhere

At any rate, besides good design, it might help to improve conversions of existing business websites, which already receive noticeable traffic and only need the effort to convert better to produce substantial profits.

Which is where Kim Krause Berg, a usability consultant (http://www.usabilityeffect.com), should help.

Website Design Financing at Zero Interest? Not only does this seam fairly rare, it’s fairly reasonable and a GREAT way to help someone get started. The initial investment is often the barrier to getting started. This approach enables entrepreneurs to make money then pay.

This is an interesting way to get a website done, that I imagine will appeal to some people. I feel that this is basically microcredit with a different name. I think if you can afford it why not pay in full for the design without having to get “more” debt in order to start your business/website. Starting out not owning your website doesn’t sound like such a wonderful idea.

This is certainly a unique approach and one I hadn’t considered. I applaud them for putting together unique strategies in dealing with these tough times.

I’m wondering if they work with a bank for this. Perhaps the volume isn’t there yet to justify it, but it seems to me that in this market there are some real risks in becoming another source of credit – however modest.

Still, a remarkable idea.
