Does number 4 relate to the recent Philadelphia tax debate?
12. Sometimes, that which we share, will touch others in ways that we may never realize. For that reason, we should continue to share our voices, even when we think no one is listening.
This is so true. I find hidden gems all the time and I bet the authors think nobody heard them.

Perhaps, it might. I’d rather not make this about any specific thing, however, so let’s just say it might be about things that are similar to that.

Sometimes, whatever people say online comes over as crap. In that case it may well be better to just shut up. But I’m not sure if it is.

Great and inspiring words. Thanks for sharing those thoughts. Those are things we all need to remind ourselves of occasionally.

Hmm. I’m curious as to the event that lead you to come up with this list. Perhaps you will share that another day?

About #5… Sometimes doing bold moves can be a little overwhelming for some who have personal reason why he shouldnt have done or that. I guess its that hard to please everyone without trying to connect with them first. At least it would ease the blow in some way.

Your self worth is the most powerful in the list (in my opinion) – so many people want to bring you down, scoff on your ideas and tell you what you’re not but all it ever does is sink you to their level.
There’s a time for constructive criticism but only if it’s helpful – not just people railing at you without any actual input.
That’s why you always have to realize that everything you do makes you that much stronger.

I’m curious as is Wayne as to the event(s)? that spurred this writing.
Perhaps you will enlighten us at a later time.
BTW: I’ve followed your comments for some years. Mostly I’ve valued them. Occaisionally I’ve disagreed them. At times I’ve commented upon them and at other times I’ve been silent.

The world is never fair. And that is an absolute truth, it is an axiom.
I am a dynamic optimist, but that the world is always unfair, is a premise, basing a chain of thought on the opposite fact will never result in a valid conclusion. It will only lead to disappointment
Sounds like the law of unintended consequences came and bit you. As a person with a disability who has very little money, I constantly have to fight people’s perceptions that I am of little worth. I have learned to do the best I can and understand that is all I can do. I have had people come back later, sometimes years later, and tell me something I did or said helped them. Doesn’t happen very often, but just enough to help me keep going. You help a lot of people. You give time, information, and encouragement. That is worth more than money any day.

Sometimes it’s absolutely impossible to have a discussion or debate with those who insist on being right, at all costs.
Let them be the bullies, DD. We know you have every right in the universe to have an opinion, share it when moved to do so, and be treated with respect.
What can I say? Your words all ring true but the fact remains that such is life. The entire world ain’t gon be pleased with the way we live and do our bizness. It all boils down to being happy in the end.
