Think blogging and participating in online communities cannot bring about powerful change? Think again! After reading one short forum thread post, a blogger was able to pick up a big story, tell his readers about it, thereby causing a cascade effect that changed the way, not one, but TWO huge companies practiced business.

For quite some time now, registrars were required to allow a 5 day grace period, in which domain names registered could be cancelled and refunded within 5 days. Wow, the first birthday of this blog almost snuck right past me. I was checking out the past entries for another reason yesterday, and noticed that the first entry was almost exactly one year ago. But as fate would have it, I noticed, and so today, we celebrate the first birthday of this blog.

10 years is:

• 521 weeks

How long have you worked for someone else? Hit the 10 year mark yet? More?

Time spent cannot be regained. You will never get even one of those seconds of time back, so spend each of them wisely. Do you want another 10 years to go by working for someone else? And another 10…and another…

If you haven’t subscribed to the feed here in the past because you hate partial feeds, you’ll be happy to know that those days are over. Starting today, you’ll be able to subscribe to full feeds. I generally adhere to my rule of giving out only partial feeds when a blog is new so that scrapers don’t outrank the blog in the search engines. Now, however, i think this blog has gained enough traction to be able to withstand any duplicate content problems that scrapers might try to cause. Hope everyone enjoys the new full feeds. Since this blog is fairly new and has an extremely small audience so far, you’d think maybe I need to really study up on blog tips. However, I also have another blog that is somewhat popular, so I’m not a complete noob at this whole blog business. Nevertheless, I’m no A-lister, so I’m always interested in blogging advice. A nice article called 27 +1 Tips for Building and Maintaining a Blog Audience over on SponsoredReviews caught my eye for two reasons.

• It was something worth reviewing. I’m pretty picky about what I review, and I’m always intrigued to find something I’d like to review.
• It was something I’m interested in, and think that at least some of my readers (few that they are) might be interested in
