Yes, Even You Should Try The Web Business
So many people think they don’t have the knowledge or talent to make a living online. I’m here to tell you that nearly everyone should at least give it a try, if they are the tiniest bit interested in the possibilities of earning a living online. Let me give you an example, based on a real person I know.
This guy is one of those good old country boys that everyone just adores. He’s funny and cute, but not too cute. He loves telling a good story, and embellishing it when he feels it’s necessary to stretch the truth just a bit to make the story better. You know what I mean…”the fish that got away was this big”…that kind of thing. His work? I’m not sure what he does exactly, but it’s some kind of labor-intensive manly kind of blue-collar thing. His interests? Hunting, fishing, dating girls, and pimping his truck.
Now, just imagine if you will, what might happen if this guy started blogging. He could easily grab the attention of all the redneck men in the world, and probably all the redneck women as well. The stories he could tell about his hunting, fishing, and dating adventures would be fun and entertaining. He could make good money just on basic advertising fees for a highly trafficked site, but he could probably make really good money off of affiliate sales in the hunting, fishing, and truck-pimping areas.
What do guys like to buy? Hunting equipment. Fishing gear. Stuff to pimp out their cars and trucks. Everything that this guy knows absolutely everything about. He can talk for days about the latest hoohahs that he just added to his truck. Imagine if he blogged about all the coolest hoohahs that are available, and he got commissions off the sales of those hoohahs. See where I’m going with this?
If I told this guy that he should start blogging and could expect to make money off the Internet, he’d laugh and tell me that he didn’t have any kind of knowledge or talent to be able to do that. At that point, I’d have to laugh back, and say “Wanna bet?”.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking that way. I’d be willing to bet 99 out of every 100 people you know would think that, but they would all be wrong. Each of has interests and life experiences that others want to know about. It’s what the information age and social media is all about. Information … and the sharing of it. You have information. You can share it. You can profit from it. Simple as that.
