My family loves to tell people that I am smart but have no common sense. They find that amusing for some reason. In some areas (like putting things together) I’d agree with them, but when it comes to my business, I fully disagree. (I can see my family shaking their heads, but pay no attention to them).

I use common sense in my business constantly, and I highly recommend that you do the same. Ever seen one of those television commercials for an electronics store, where someone named Crazy George (or any similar name) is sitting in a crane high above the store parking lot, throwing electronics on the ground, smashing them to bits, all the while screaming loudly about the great prices to be found at his store? A couple of months ago, I wrote Plodding Your Way To Success over on my other blog, and while it is geared towards SEO, the same general tenets apply to the broadest spectrum of success. I listed the following:

I mentioned the use of feed readers in yesterday’s post, and I thought it might be a good idea to delve into the topic of RSS feeds, subscribing to blogs, and and feed readers in more detail.

What are RSS feeds? A feed is a special file that lists summaries or full posts from sites or blogs, with a link to the original post. This feed might contain the last X posts from one blog, or it might be a mashup of posts from several sources, all related to one topic.
