I briefly mentioned bartering when I discussed keeping home office business costs down, but I wanted to expand on the topic just a bit.
When you work from home, you no longer have an entire company filled with people with varying skills. Instead, you generally only have yourself. While some of us may be able to consider ourselves jacks or jills of all trades, most of us are skilled in fewer areas. Of course, you can always outsource projects to others for pay, but I believe shelling out money should be the last resort…not the first.
The best way to get things done is to barter or trade for the services. While there are bartering services available, that requires utilizing strangers for the… Continue reading

Today is my anniversary, so I’ll be taking the day off from thinking too much. To help me celebrate, why don’t you do something nice for someone today? Make it out of the ordinary and unexpected. Even something as simple as a note saying Thanks, or Good Job would be fine. Just a little token can make someone’s day. And don’t forget to have a great day yourself… Continue reading

When you share your knowledge base via your blog, others get to learn from you, and you make money when you monetize your blog.
There are many… Continue reading

That Smash Mouth song was popular on the radio at a dark time of my life. I was clinically depressed, and completely despondent about where I was in life. I’d turned 40, looked around… Continue reading
